ABOUT MILES
I'm Miles! My real name is Luc/Lucas, you can address me with any name.I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and have been in the commission business for over 5 years now. I constantly study gestures, colors, and linework and use it to continue to improve my work and provide a better piece for you.I have recently developed ME/CFS, which is a chronic illness hallmarked by fatigue, pain, flu-like symptoms and worsening of symptoms caused by overexertion. Although my symptoms fit this diagnosis well, I've also been developing intense nerve pain and headaches and frequently require the use of a wheelchair or cane/walker to get around. I am almost totally housebound because I can not walk far without taking a meaningful break. I am using the money from commissions to visit a doctor who is literate of my symptoms and can point me towards meaningful treatment so that I can hopefully return to school and work. I am currently applying for disability, however, in case no treatment can be found. (ME/CFS has no approved cure or treatment, but I am hoping to find a doctor who can discover more about my issues.)I love flowers and art, I also love programming and playing video games. I study horror and analyze different media forms used for storytelling. I also love ghosts!Thank you for commissioning me, and your business is a huge impact on my life!
HOW TO COMMISSION ME USING DESCRIPTION
I have extensive experience in creating a piece for my clients using description only. If you are creating your first ever sona, but do not yet have art of it, then I am willing to work with you and talk back and forth until I create a sona that fits your image perfectly!
Heres some tips on how to commission me using description only:
Remember to include important details about your sona that are frequently missed (this includes eye color, tongue color, pawpads, and eye-shape)
Include pictures of sonas that you like the style/look of ("I like this sona's hairstyle"/ "I like the body shape of this sona, etc.
Include pictures of outfits/overall aesthetics that your sona would follow.
Give me a description of their personality! When I have an idea of what the personality of the sona is, it is easier for me to visualize what I should include in the commission.
With all of these items, it will be easier for us to work together to create the sona that you've been wanting art of!

HOW TO COMMISSION ME
You can start by filling out my commissions form (shown at top of page, for each commission type!) If you have any further comments or questions after filling the form (or, for example, you have more reference photos or wanted to send the references via email) you can contact me via email!
business email: [email protected]My commission status will be shown on the header text of both my twitter and tumblr, and will also be updated on this exact site and my trello! If my commissions are closed, I may still accept forms to be on a waitlist, even if my commissions are closed. If you fill out my commission form while my commissions are closed I'll put you on the waitlist, but I will always confirm with you if this is what you want!ABOUT THE QUEUE AND WAITLIST
If you are on the queue that means you commissioned me while my commissions were opened and should expect your commission within the turnover rate. If you are on the waitlist it means you commissioned me while my commissions were closed and I do not have a guaranteed date on when the commission would be complete. (It will typically be within a month's time, though). I will let you know if your commission would be on the waitlist before moving forward, to be sure it is still what you want.TURNOVER
My turnover rate is 1-5 weeks. I must keep a steady, slower pace than other artists in order to prevent a lapse in my symptoms (read my about). If I experience a lapse in the middle of your commission, I will often provide a discount to make up for the wait time.I will always send you a sketch of the commission before I move forward any more. At this point in time, I will send you an invoice via paypal. Please wait for my invoice. I cannot accept payment through donation or sending money. The invoice is a proof of transaction. What if I don't have a paypal?
You do not need a paypal to pay via invoice!TERMS OF SERVICE
Cancellation: You may cancel the commission at any time before the first sketch is accepted. After the sketch is approved, payment is required and the commission will be completed in full. There are no refunds, but I may refund a percentage of your payment if the wait-time was considerably longer than my disclosed turnover period. I have the right to cancel a commission at any time. I will send you a full refund if the commission wasn't worked on past the sketch.Reposting: Reposting to any site is allowed so long as my signature is not removed and I am credited via my account on twitter or tumblr.
you cannot repost artwork that you didn't pay for
twitter: batsoupart
tumblr: bat-soupEditing: You may edit any commission you bought from me so long as you don't remove the signature! You may not edit another commissioner's bought piece.Tracing: I am a believer that tracing pieces that inspire you is essential to learning as an artist. If you are wanting to trace my piece, please consider tracing first some guidelines that follow it, and then consider using it as a reference for contouring the overall gist of the piece. This will strengthen your work. You may post pieces that you have traced from me, but do not outright steal designs from my commissioners, do not post traces of a commission you did not pay for.IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COMMISSIONING ETIQUETTE
Just recently I've encountered this a few times, so I would like to clarify "etiquette" while commissioning me. I do commissions in my unique style that is important for me to follow, I do not copy other styles, and I do not approve of being asked to essentially copying a style of another work. Here's what I meanexample: "I like how the sketch is looking, but my sona is supposed to be a fennec fox, so can you make the ears a little bigger?" = GOOD ETIQUETTEexample: "Thank you for the sketch! The forehead looks a little big, can you narrow it down some? Also, my sona's hair is supposed to be very floofy, so can you make that more noticable?" = GOOD ETIQUETTEexample: "(After several emails of me trying to fix the piece to your taste) The base of the ears is not wide enough. The hair needs to be texturized this way, and the nose needs to be pointing more outward" = you are trying to tell me how to draw, and using up a lot of my time over small thingsPlease feel comfortable telling me if a part of the commission does not look right, or I missed something integral to their design. I don't however, tolerate commissioners that are nitpicky about my specific style and who feel the need to make me redraw the sketch over and over.
Ref sheets are different, and if you need to go back and forth with me on ideas for a sona or what you think looks better, that's okay! I want to provide the perfect ref sheet for you!MY COMMISSIONS ARE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. YOU MAY NOT USE THEM FOR ANY COMMERCIAL USE, INCLUDING NFTS, YOUTUBE THUMBNAILS, AND PROMO ART FOR YOUR BUSINESS(INCLUDING MONETIZED TWITCH CHANNELS AND YOUTUBE CHANNELS)Thank you for reading my terms of service, and if you have any questions about my terms, feel free to ask me!
